The Assam Public Service Commission(APSC)has released the notification for the Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025 on 23rd March 2025 . This is a great opportunity for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. Here are the details:

Educational Qualification	Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit	Minimum Age: 21 Years Maximum Age: 38 Years (as on 01/01/2024)
Age Relaxation	OBC/MOBC: 3 Years SC, ST(P), ST(H): 5 Years PwBD: 10 Years Refer to the official notification for more information.
Nationality	The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Regional Language Proficiency	Candidate must be proficient in Assamese or any other official/associate official languages of the State, or any of the tribal languages of Assam.
Residentship	The candidate must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration	The candidate must be registered with a District Employment Office of Assam.
Small Family Norms	Candidates are required to submit a declaration in Form-A regarding “The Small Family Norms” while applying for the APSC CCE (Preliminary) Examination.
Selection Process	Stage 1: Preliminary Examination Exam Name: APSC CCE Prelims Question Type: Objective (MCQs) Total Papers: 2 (General Studies I & II) Full Marks: 400 Marks (200 Marks each) Duration: 2 Hours per paper Negative Marking: One-fourth for each wrong answer Syllabus: General Studies I & II (As per APSC Rules 2019) Exam Centers: Various cities across Assam Prelims is qualifying in nature for Main Examination Stage 2: Main Examination (Written & Interview) Written Examination: Exam Name: APSC CCE Main Question Type: Essay and Objective Type Medium: English or Assamese Total Papers: 6 Full Marks: 1500 Marks Duration: 3 Hours per paper Exam Centre: Guwahati Interview Test: Exam Name: APSC CCE Main Interview Exam Type: Personality Assessment Full Marks: 180 Marks Exam Centre: Guwahati Final Selection and Merit Ranking Marks from Main Examination (Written) + Interview are combined Merit List prepared based on total score Allocation to services based on rank, preferences, and reservation
